Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program

Family medicine is not one size fits all, and your training doesn't have to be, either. The Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program is a stand-alone, community based program sponsored by the largest employer in the River Region, Baptist Health, and we value our culture of teamwork and support.

At Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program (MFMRP) we accept eight residents per academic year and pride ourselves on providing a premier educational experience to all of our Residents.

Our commitment to our core values (Excellence in Education, Excellence in Patient Care, and Leadership in the Community and Beyond) extends to our dedicated and diverse faculty and staff, allowing us to achieve high levels of success for more than 20 years.

Of those achievements, we are proud to be one of few family medicine programs in Alabama to attain a 100% first-time ABFM board pass rate for consecutive years - and counting!

Our curriculum boasts a continuum of primary care that encompasses all areas of family medicine from newborns to geriatrics. As a Resident Physician at MFMRP, you will join a team of physicians that feel strongly about providing excellent care to all patients.

Patients are seen by appointment in a traditional private practice setting in conjunction with Baptist Health Primary Care Partners - Narrow Lane. More than 500 physicians in the Montgomery/River Region area have privileges at the Baptist Health facilities and are very supportive of our program and our residents. Several of our Program Graduates have made the move to MFMRP for residency and chosen to continue serving through the Baptist Health system with a footprint of impact throughout all of Central Alabama.

Your journey begins with a residency decision, and it all starts with you. This is your time. Make the move to Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program!
