APPLICATION AND INTERVIEW PROCEDURES
|
| Acceptance
into the program requires graduation from a medical school approved
by the Council on Graduate Medical Education of the AMA. |
| All
applicants must be submitted through the ERAS program using the application
form from the National Residency Matching Program. Also needed along
with this application is a Dean's letter, medical school transcript,
board scores and three letters of recommendation. |
| Selected
applicants are interviewed by the faculty. In order to be granted
an interview, the following criteria must be met: |
- Must
be able to receive a transcript from an accredited medical school
and be able to graduate prior to July of the academic year.
- Must
have passed Part 1 of USMLE or Part I of the NBOME with three
(3) or less attempts. There are no score requirements.
- Must
have graduated from medical school within the past 5 years or
be licensed to practice medicine in the United States.
- If
already graduated from a medical school, the applicant must have
completed the final year within one year prior to receipt of application.
If graduated more than one year prior to application, the applicant
must be able to demonstrate active involvement in the practice
of medicine. Active involvement includes:
- Currently
part of a residency program.
- Documented
involvement in a medical practice with daily contact with
patients and physicians, one year from date of application
as a doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy in the United
States.
- International
medical graduates must hold a valid ECFMG certificate prior to
starting the program.
- All
applicants must have lived in the United States for the last five
consecutive years.
- The
Program does not sponsor VISAS.
- Must
speak fluent English.
- We
accept all applications through the ERAS program.

applications must be received by December 31st in order to complete
the interviewing process by January 31st. |
